The International Conference on Patient Safety brought together Vietnamese and international experts to discuss initiatives for ensuring safety in the hospital environment.
Topic sessions covered incident reporting, root cause analysis, a no-blame culture, and the role of leadership in maintaining a safe environment. Several best-practice models from international healthcare systems were presented and compared against the Vietnamese context.
Participants and delegates emphasised the need for standardised procedures and continuous training for healthcare staff. The conference also opened opportunities for research collaboration and professional exchange between institutions.
The conference outcomes will be incorporated into relevant VITAL training content in upcoming modules.
