On the morning of 20 June 2026, the VITAL programme officially opened Module 1 on Strategic Planning and Hospital Leadership Management. The event brought together leaders and department heads from more than 40 hospitals nationwide, creating a lively space for professional exchange from day one.
At the opening session, the organisers emphasised the goal of equipping hospital management teams with strategic thinking and practical executive capability. Participants were introduced to the programme framework, a learning approach combining theory with real-world case studies, and expectations for the healthcare leadership community network after the course.
Co-organising experts from Hanoi Medical University, the Department of Medical Services Administration, and international partner EHESP shared perspectives on developing hospital leadership capability amid the healthcare system’s rapid transformation. Participants took part in group discussions on the strategic challenges facing their own institutions and approaches to sustainable solutions.
Module 1 runs for three days with numerous hands-on activities, case analysis, and experience-sharing between hospitals. It marks an important first step in the VITAL 2026 training series.
